Michael Singer chronicles his journey from a talkative mind to a peaceful mind. He begins by noticing that his mind is talking. Then he embarks on a journey to quiet the mind and finds meditation, which he continues to get more and more involved with. At one point, he decides to experiment with surrendering to the Universe. He gave up his personal preferences (likes and dislikes) and accepted what the Universe brought to him through the flow of energy.

Along the journey, he moved to the forest, taught college, organized spiritual workshops, learned computer programming, ran a multi-million dollar company, and more. His journey was very interesting and gave a first hand look at how flow influences life. No matter what came at him, he just surrendered to it.

I was right along with him the whole way until the end of the book. I won’t ruin the surprise, but let it be said, that I had a hard time surrendering at the end…and yet, he kept surrendering.
