I first bought this book many years ago and that copy disappeared along the way. So, I bought it again. When I sat down to read it, I breezed through it and wondered why it had taken me so long to complete it.

The Alchemist is about a young man’s journey to find his Personal Legend as he learns to interpret the Language of the World. His Personal Legend is the treasure he is destined to find for himself, IF he is willing to give up the comfort of where he is and stretch.

The Language of the World refers to the young man learning about watching, listening and interpreting the omens and signs all around us. It is truly as if the world is talking to us.

In short, it is about following his dream and everything he learns along the way. It gave me a very gentle feeling as I read along. And I was amazed at the insights and lessons that were conveyed. The Alchemist is an easy read with many ah-ha moments.
