Thank You…A New Feeling Way to Manifest Something Better

Are you a slave to your feelings?

Is hopelessness leading to inaction?

It’s time to step up and claim yourself.  You have the power within you.  It’s up to you to create the life you desire. It’s time for a reset within yourself.

Personal Story of How This Played Out

A few years ago, Shoshi, one of my daughters, was feeling down. She had ended a seven-year relationship and moved back home. Her slim body was changing, and she wasn’t too happy about it, even though it was part of maturing. 

So, we decided to do something about how she felt.  (The physical changes would come with time.  The time to change the feeling was immediate.)

We chose to do a photo shoot. A boudoir shoot to be specific.  As a photographer, I got a chance to play with lighting and different poses.  I did some research on how to do this, specifically how to tastefully cover up and still give that “desirable” feeling.  I was stoked.

Shoshi contacted her best friend, who happens to be a stylist, and together they got her ready (clothes, hair and makeup). Her friend joined us during the photoshoot to keep the look fresh throughout the day.

I can tell you the feelings changed.  At first, she was shy in front of the camera and not feeling good about her body.  By the end of the day (it was a seven-hour shoot), she was relaxed, tired, and happy.  And we had some great laughs as well as great pictures.  We were even able to give a picture to her very conservative grandfather.

 

Moving from Uncomfortable to Comfortable

The first step is to look at your feelings.  That’s right.  Change doesn’t happen until we are uncomfortable about something and desire to be comfortable.  It is the uncomfortableness that is a blessing.  It initiates change because we don’t like the feeling and are searching for a better feeling. 

So, when something isn’t going the way you’d like, you feel uncomfortable and want something different.  You don’t have to accept the uncomfortable feeling forever.  It’s up to you how you choose to feel. It’s your choice.

Even if you feel hopeless and think you have no choice, you still have choice.  If you stay in the hopeless feeling, this will lead to inaction, and nothing will change. 

Step back and look at how you feel.  It’s your feelings that will ultimately initiate change.

It doesn’t matter if you are dealing with world events or if you are feeling undesirable.  The process of moving from uncomfortable to comfortable is the same.  It’s up to you to choose the feelings you manifest.

Change starts with the feelings. 

Feeling First

Choose the feeling you would like to have. You already know what you are feeling and that it is uncomfortable.  Take a moment to choose what you would like to feel instead.

Say thank you for already having the feeling you desire, even though you don’t technically have it. 

Plug into the Divine. Think about unconditional love and draw a line connecting you to that feeling. You’re opening a pathway for it to come to you.

Say thank you for the connection. Really feel the thank you.

Do something to create the feeling you desire.

Say thank you again.

In case you don’t realize it, saying thank you is very important.  By saying and feeling thank you, you are opening yourself to receiving and believing that your desire will happen. Do it often.

You are not a slave to your feelings.  You are the one who gets to choose how you feel. 

As your feelings shift, you will be looking at things from a new perspective and ideas will pop in.  It is up to you if you choose to pick up the ideas and do something about them.  This new action will lead to the new outcome you desire.  It all begins with the feeling.
