Celebrate You
While Being High Vibe!
It’s time to celebrate you and your uniqueness. No two people are exactly alike. No two people have exactly the same talents. Rejoice in you being you. We are here on earth to have experiences through the lenses of our own uniqueness.
Right now, there are people who are trying to make everyone the same. They are criticizing anyone who is different. This doesn’t work. Think of it this way: we don’t need everyone to be plumbers. We need some people to be plumbers and others to be artists, builders, doctors, and so on. We need people who are authentically real and not pretending to be someone they are not.
What is happening today reminds me of a story I read when I was homeschooling Shoshi. We were reading Great Books and there was a story about the Handicapper General by Kurt Vonnegut. I suggest you find this and read it. (I saw a pdf of it on the internet.)
In short, the story was about a government official who was making everyone be the same. If you had the ability to jump gracefully, you were weighted down so that you couldn’t jump higher than anyone else. If you were beautiful, you had to cover up your beauty. You get the idea.
Unfortunately, this is happening now. It’s time to stop feeling guilty for being you. Quit trying to be like everyone else. Start celebrating your uniqueness. After all, if everyone is a plumber, then who will grow the food the plumber needs to eat or build the highways and roads the plumber uses? Be your unique youness.
When you think of your uniqueness, ask yourself the following questions:
In what ways am I unique?
What can I be or do to claim the real me?
If I could get rid of whatever is blocking me from being me, what would I find in my path?
What thoughts and feelings are keeping me from being my unique self?
If I could design my uniqueness, what would I like to design myself to be?
If I could imagine a wonderful, marvelous experience here on earth, what would it be?
Enjoy the experiences you bring into your life and celebrate you!
